Blood donation is a tangible and easy way to help your fellow human beings! Patients in Finland need the assistance of almost 1,000 blood donors every day, and one donation can help up to three patients. Blood products are needed for treating patients such as surgical patients, accident victims, cancer patients and preterm babies. By donating blood regularly, you help to save lives! New blood donors are needed all the time. Voimatel wants to promote a good cause and has challenged its entire staff to donate blood. We also want to challenge our customers and partners to join us in this effort. If you wish, you can participate in Voimatel’s blood donation group.
Voimatel’s HR department has already taken concrete steps and donated blood.
– I donate blood regularly, even though my last donation took place some time ago. It’s great to contribute to a good cause and help save lives. Especially now, on the 70th anniversary of the Finnish Red Cross Blood Service. I now live near the donation centre in Espoo which makes it easy to go there. The Blood Service also has mobile units which arrange special blood donation events where anyone can go. Why not give a helping hand,” describes Voimatel’s HR expert Erja Turpeinen her own experiences and encourages others to join.
