Voimatel has announced it has entered into an agreement with Rauman Energia Sähköverkko to upgrade the electricity distribution network in Rauma’s Nikula district. The project also comprises fibre optic cable installation for parent company Rauman Energia. The venture will additionally be joined by the City of Rauma as the local authority seeks to upgrade the city’s street lighting. Finnish telecommunications company DNA will also be participating in some aspects of the project as it upgrades to a new fibre optic network in the area.
The project will be managed by Voimatel’s Pori unit and is due to be completed in summer 2020.
This new client relationship ideally complements Voimatel’s existing operations in Western Finland, enhancing our market share in the region.
