Voimatel and Vaasan Sähköverkko Oy have signed a major agreement for the construction and maintenance of an electricity network as well as on-call service in the Vaasa region covering Vaasa city, Merikaarto, Vähäkyrö, Laihia and Tervajoki. The agreement will enter into force at the beginning of next year with a duration of three years plus two years as an option. The agreement is for a comprehensive service package including materials, and it is worth approximately EUR 16 million.
With the agreement now concluded, Voimatel’s position and service capacity will be further strengthened in Western Finland.
– We at Voimatel are pleased to partner with Vaasan Sähköverkko Oy in their effort to improve the electricity network’s reliability of supply. The Vaasa archipelago presents certain challenges, but we at Voimatel will respond to the challenge and secure a steady supply of electricity. In co-operation with Vaasan Sähköverkko, we will also think of and develop new operating methods to improve service quality, says Jari Nurmenrinta, Voimatel’s Area Manager responsible for electricity networks in Western Finland.
– Many contractors were interested in the annual contract agreement, but Voimatel was clearly the first choice in terms of both quality and price. There is no doubt that we will enter into a good and effective cooperation with our new partner, says Matias Åbro, responsible for the deal at Vaasan Sähköverkko.
