Voimatel and Green Energy Finland work together to produce clean energy from the sun

Voimatel and Green Energy Finland Oy (GEF) provide high-quality, long-lasting and reliable solar power systems for companies and households, taking into account customer needs and demands. By utilising solar energy, the companies and their customers take an eco-friendly approach, which reduces CO2 emissions and offers savings in energy costs.

Voimatel and GEF have been working together since spring 2016, when Voimatel’s energy service portfolio expanded from designing solar power systems to turnkey system deliveries. GEF proved to be the most suitable partner in delivering installation materials for solar power systems. The cooperation started with full solar power system deliveries, which included customer needs surveys, planning, delivery, installation, implementation and maintenance.

– In the start-up phase of a new service, finding a competent partner is very important. This is where we succeeded. Smooth cooperation was facilitated by expert contacts who were ready to help when needed. Good contacts are still key to easy and flexible cooperation, says Arto Kettunen, Product Manager for Solar Energy Services at Voimatel.

Since then, the partnership has grown, and Voimatel also provides planning and installation services for GEF’s solar power system deliveries. A framework agreement for planning and installations was signed already back in 2018.

According to GEF Project Manager Kimmo Karjalainen, the wide geographic coverage of Voimatel is great, and it enables reliable solar power system deliveries by GEF throughout Finland.

– Planning, site surveys and installation work have gone smoothly and professionally, and communication with supervisors and operatives has been fluent. Voimatel’s personnel are accustomed to operating according to the requirements of the energy, electricity and telecommunications sector, and their occupational safety practices and installation quality are first class and in line with our customers’ standards, Karjalainen goes on to list the key elements of the partnership.

– Cooperation is beneficial for both parties. When Voimatel, in turn, acts as a turnkey solar power system provider, we often use accessories, solar panels, inverters and mounting fixtures supplied by GEF, Arto Kettunen comments.
